Cristiano Ronaldo’s hotel on the outskirts of Marrakech is opening its doors to welcome victims after the 6.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in Morocco.

Pestana CR7 Marrakech is a luxury hotel that is providing shelter for those who lost their homes after the earthquake – MARCA quoted Irene Seixas, a Spanish national, sharing with 24h channel.
She said: “We have now found a room at Cristiano Ronaldo’s hotel in the suburbs. We are waiting. We slept all night on the road and at 7am they told us okay, we have can go to the hotel.
“We were in the hallway, a lot of people of different nationalities were waiting to see if we could get a room,” she shared.
Pestana CR7 Marrakech Hotel has a total of 174 rooms, with a very spacious area and full amenities, with unique decoration based on Moroccan architecture.
Not only providing free accommodation, Pestana CR7 Marrakech hotel staff also provides food and drinks as well as some necessary necessities.
According to the victims, they felt extremely lucky and happy to receive practical help from Ronaldo.
The 6.8 magnitude earthquake had its epicenter in the High Atlas mountains, about 72km southwest of the famous tourist city of Marrakech.
The earthquake was as strong as 25 atomic bombs, killing at least 2,012 people and injuring more than 2,059 people. Panic-stricken residents and tourists in the country ran to any building where they could seek shelter.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo also expressed his deepest condolences to the family and friends who lost their loved ones in the earthquake.
“Sending love and prayers to everyone in Morocco at this very difficult time” – he wrote in his Instagram.
