Europe may now let out a sigh of relief now that the Saudi Arabian transfer window has been officially shut. After all, it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to compete monetarily with the proposals that are being made by the parties who are situated in the middle east.
The explosive transfer window in Saudi Arabia resulted in a large exodus of talent from Europe’s top five divisions. Notable players such as Sadio Mane, N’Golo Kante, Karim Benzema, and Neymar Jr. left the continent to play for teams in Saudi Arabia.
If Robert Lewandowski had decided to leave Bayern Munich, it would have been a very different tale for Barcelona, who were virtually undisturbed by the new titans of the transfer market.
There was a lot of pressure on the Pole.
Lewandowski was reportedly the subject of multiple proposals from Saudi Arabia during the most recent phase of the transfer market, as was disclosed earlier today.
They even proposed an astounding forty million euros to Barcelona in exchange for the Polish striker’s signature. But the response from the 35-year-old was never anything but a resolute “NO.”
Despite the allure of a rich deal, the Polish player is content and has established a life for himself in Barcelona. He has never considered the idea of leaving the club.
Something different in the month of January?

Now, reports coming from ESPORT 3 indicate that the Saudi Arabian clubs have not backed down from their position. They plan to come back during the winter transfer market with the intention of signing Barcelona’s star striker.
Lewandowski has now scored twice for the Blaugranas in his past two games, despite the fact that he got off to a sluggish start in the 2023/24 season.
Xavi Hernandez’s system continues to use him as the starting striker, and the Spanish coach has made it clear on multiple occasions that he is fully confident in the performance of the elite-level superstar.
“There are moments when we are just too tough on Robert. He was responsible for all four of our most recent victories. When asked about the Pole’s form in a recent interview, he responded by saying, “How can you say he’s in a bad moment when he’s scored twice in the last two matches?” He said this in response to a question regarding the Pole’s current performance.
The scenario, on the other hand, might look very different come January if the veteran superstar’s deteriorating physical condition continues to become worse over the next few months.
In addition, the possible entrance of Vitor Roque is yet another consideration that cannot be ignored. If the Brazilian phenom arrives to provide direct competition to the former star of Bayern Munich, he may look at a lucrative transfer with hopeful eyes if he knows that he would be facing him.
