Jurgen Klopp faces a challenging situation ahead of Liverpool’s next match against Wolves. The Reds will be without their captain, Virgil van Dijk, who is serving an additional one-match suspension, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is sidelined due to a hamstring injury.

Joe Gomez, the primary backup right-back, is also the fourth-choice center-back, making it difficult for Klopp to decide where to deploy him.

With limited options at full-back, Klopp may consider moving left-back Kostas Tsimikas to the right, although this could be uncomfortable for him as a left-footer. Another solution could be 18-year-old Stefan Bajcetic, who has experience as a central defender and midfielder. Bajcetic could step into an inverted right-back role, similar to Alexander-Arnold, and provide quality on the ball and football intelligence.

The center-back position also poses a challenge, as both Van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate are unavailable. Klopp may turn to academy talent Jarell Quansah or summer signing Wataru Endo to partner Joel Matip in defense. Quansah has already seen some Premier League minutes this season, while Endo’s inclusion would allow Klopp to field the same midfield trio that performed well against Aston Villa.

Despite these challenges, Klopp and his squad must find a way to secure a victory against Wolves, showcasing their ability to compete for the league title. It will be a tough test, but Liverpool has overcome significant obstacles before, including playing with 10 men in two matches.
