10 – Stefan Malz
Stefan is Arsenal’s failed contract.
Stefan is one of the most failed signings in Arsenal history . The 51-year-old former midfielder joined the Gunners in 1999 from 1860 Munich. Stefan could not occupy a regular starting position when facing competition with Patrick Vieira, Emmanuel Petit and Robert Pires. Stefan left Arsenal after only two years at Emirates Stadium with only 14 appearances on the field.
9 – Alberto Mendez
Alberto joined Arsenal from SC Feucht in 1997, at the same time as prominent names such as Nicolas Anelka, Emmanuel Petit and Marc Overmars. Unfortunately, the former German midfielder did not have a flourishing career at Arsenal.
