After making highly public criticisms of the club’s manager, Erik ten Hag, Manchester United midfielder Jadon Sancho’s situation is not looking good as he also appears to be in trouble with his teammates.
Jadon Sancho was cruelly kept out of the squad despite being healthy enough to play in United’s encounter against Arsenal after participating in the first three games. Erik ten Hag speculated that the athlete had fallen short of expectations in practice when questioned about it.
Ten Hag stated, “Jadon, based on his training performances, we did not choose him. At Manchester United, you have to perform at a certain level each and every day, and we have choices in the front line. He was hence not chosen for this game.
Sancho didn’t want to be used as a scapegoat any longer, so he quickly defended himself on social media, implying that the manager had been lying about the cause for his absence from the game.
The English international has reportedly been barred from first-team practice as a result of his criticisms. According to reports, Jadon Sancho’s teammates are also at odds with one another as a result of his behavior on the United training field.
Cristiano Ronaldo was shown the door at the English club after he publicly criticized the manager in an interview with Piers Morgan.
Another player who was disciplined by the former Ajax manager was Marcus Rashford, who was dropped from the squad for showing up late at a team meeting. Therefore, it is safe to assume that Jadon Sancho will face consequences for his recent actions.
Saudi Arabian club approaches Manchester United for Jadon Sancho
The player’s once-bright future at Old Trafford now looks bleak after he was exiled from the first team. As per the reports, the English club could be considering selling off the player to avoid a further row with the manager.
The Red Devils have been presented with a quick solution to their situation with Jadon Sancho in the form of a transfer bid from the Saudi Pro League.
According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, a club in the Saudi Pro League has approached the English club for Sancho. However, the name or bid made by them is yet to be disclosed.
As per the journalist, Manchester United is yet to respond to the bid. However, there are chances that the Premier League club could look to cash in on the player given his tension with manager Erik ten Hag.
The player’s contract with the Red Devils runs until 2026, with the club having the option to extend the contract for one year. Therefore, a one-year loan spell could also be on the table if a serious bid for the English international arises.
