Erling Haaland’s Growing Trophy Collection Matches His Unique Sneaker Collection
In the year since Erling Haaland joined Manchester City, his collection of trophies has expanded rapidly, and now, his sneaker collection boasts a truly exceptional addition. Renowned designer Lorenzo Federici, known as Lorenz.OG, teamed up with Nike to craft an exclusive one-of-a-kind pair of Air Max 95s exclusively for Haaland.
While Haaland’s stint at the blue side of Manchester has been marked by remarkable achievements, including Premier and Champions League titles, a European Golden Boot, and setting a new record for the most goals in the Premier League, these custom sneakers were created specifically to honor his role in Manchester City’s FA Cup victory.
The Air Max 95s showcase gradients in Federici’s distinctive style, incorporating Manchester City’s iconic sky blue and white colors. As with all of Federici’s projects, the upper panels underwent a hand-dyeing process known as “patented colorschemes,” resulting in a unique ombré effect in this one-of-a-kind edition. The sneakers are presented in a custom box featuring a matching gradient and Haaland’s full name, Erling Braut Haaland, with a label denoting their “1:1” status.
Notably, Haaland’s original deal with Nike, which he had signed at the age of 14, expired in 2022. He then renewed his partnership with the brand earlier this year, in a deal reportedly exceeding 10 years and worth more than $250 million.
Federici’s collaboration with Nike is not new, and he has also worked with esteemed brands like Off-White, Arc’teryx, and Salomon, earning recognition for his mastery of color. Just a day after revealing Haaland’s sneakers, the designer also unveiled a custom pair of Nike Air Max Plus sneakers created for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.
While custom sneakers for their star players are a shared element between the two Manchester teams, these days, the distinctions between them are more evident in the colors of their accolades, with Manchester City’s success dominating the blue spectrum.
