Andre Onana has been nominated for the 2023 Ballon d’or and 2023 Yachine Trophy which recognizes the best goalkeeper of the year.

The Manchester United Goalkeeper makes the Yachine Trophy nomination alongside Al Hilal’s Goalkeeper Yassine Bonou as the only Africans on the list

Onana who finished runners up with Inter Milan in the Champions League last year becomes the first Cameroonian to be nominated for the award since Samuel Eto’o in 2011
