Erling Haaland overcame two ”heavy-weights” Kevin de Bruyne and Lionel Messi to win UEFA’s “Player of the Year” award.
On the morning of September 1, the European Football Federation (UEFA) announced individual titles for the 2022-2023 season.
In the men’s category, Erling Haaland excellently surpassed Lionel Messi and Kevin de Bruyne to win the best player category.
“Goals and trophies followed one after another for Haaland and his teammates in the Norwegian’s first season in England,” UEFA described as it presented the 23-year-old striker.
Pep Guardiola – Head coach at Man City – was also honored as “Best Coach”.
