‘Chance to advance to the next round’ – UEFA Champions League Draw: Barcelona face Porto, Shakhtar, and Royal Antwerp in Group H


Today, draws were held in Monaco to place clubs in groups for the 2023–2024 UEFA Champions League. Former Barcelona defender Eric Abidal and current Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole were the ones in charge of performing the draw. The group rounds of the tournament are scheduled to begin in a little while.

In the draw, Barcelona was drawn in Pot 1, along with teams like as Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Sevilla, Bayern Munich, SL Benfica, Feyenoord, and Napoli. Other teams in Pot 1 included Feyenoord and Napoli.

They will compete in Group H alongside FC Porto, who were drawn from Pot 2 for the tournament.

Following the draw for pot 3, it was determined that Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk would be joining Barcelona and Porto in the group. Royal Antwerp, reigning champions of Belgium, rounds up the competition in Group H as the final team.

In light of the current political climate in Ukraine, Barcelona’s away match versus Shakhtar will take place at an unaffiliated location.

Bayern Munich, Manchester United, FC Copenhagen, and Galatasaray are the teams competing in Group A.

Sevilla, Arsenal, PSV, and RC Lens are the teams in Group B.

Napoli, Real Madrid, SC Braga, and Union Berlin are the teams competing in Group C.

Benfica, Inter, RB Salzburg, and Real Sociedad are the teams competing in Group D.

Atletico Madrid, Celtic, Lazio, and Feyenoord are the teams in Group E.

PSG, Borussia Dortmund, Milan, and Newcastle United are the teams in Group F.

Man City, RB Leipzig, Crvena Zvezda, and Young Boys are the teams competing in Group G.

Barcelona, Porto, Shakhtar, and Royal Antwerp are the teams in Group H.
