Cristiano Ronaldo converted two penalty kicks, contributing to Al-Nassr’s consecutive victories in the Saudi Pro League as they rebounded from a challenging start to the season with two initial losses.
Ronaldo had limited involvement in the game until he was tasked with taking a penalty in the 12th minute. Without hesitation, he sent the goalkeeper in the opposite direction and expertly placed the ball into the bottom right corner of the net.
Moments later, he was denied a second goal when the referee disallowed a fantastic header due to a minimal push on his opponent. Ronaldo expressed his discontent with the decision, but he quickly regained his composure as Al-Nassr received another penalty later in the half.
The Portuguese superstar repeated his strategy, aiming for the same corner. This time, the goalkeeper anticipated correctly, but Ronaldo’s precision was impeccable.
Ronaldo then shifted his role, setting up Sadio Mane with a precise pass, allowing Mane to calmly slot the ball into the net, extending their lead to 3-0 just before halftime.
In the second half, Sultan Al-Ghannam added a fourth goal, propelling Al-Nassr to sixth place in the standings. They are still six points behind the league leaders, Al-Ittihad.
With five goals in his last two league matches, Ronaldo now leads the league’s scoring charts.
