Despite their dominant position in the league, Pep Guardiola’s team, plagued by injuries to key players like John Stones and Kevin De Bruyne, still shows interest in bolstering their squad.

According to reports from the Daily Mail, the reigning Premier League champions had reached a preliminary agreement with West Ham United for the acquisition of Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta. 

The player himself was reportedly enthusiastic about relocating to Manchester, and although initially reluctant to part with him, West Ham recognized the substantial sum offered by Manchester City and couldn’t resist.

However, any hopes of this transfer materializing in the current transfer window were dashed by the Football Association.
