Moises Caicedo turned into a disaster on his Chelsea debut makes football fans all ‘LOL’

Playing more than anyone for most of the second half, but the Blues were unable to reverse the situation against West Ham United.

West Ham had an early goal in the 7th minute. Midfielder Nayef Aguerd headed high in an unmarked position from rookie James Ward-Prowse’s corner kick.

Chelsea rebounded strongly after conceding early and quickly equalized by 19-year-old midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka. A skillful elimination phase in the penalty area and then cut through the forest of the host’s defender towards the far post.

At the end of the first half, the Blues were awarded a penalty from Raheem Sterling’s dribbling effort. However, Enzo Fernandez did not beat goalkeeper Alphonse Areola on the 11m mark.

It is worth mentioning that Tomas Soucek stepped on the 16m50 line when Enzo made contact with the ball. By law, the away team had to retake the penalty, but nothing happened.

The blue shirt team also suffered a great loss when the player playing or Chukwuemeka was injured and had to leave the field after the first half, making way for Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Chelsea continued to show a slow pace and lack of focus at the beginning of each half. Michail Antonio punished the Blues from a situation that did not seem too dangerous. Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was somewhat subjective and had to go into the net to pick up the ball after a strong shot from the 33-year-old striker.

Coach Mauricio Pochettino quickly made a change when launching the long-awaited signing Moises Caicedo to replace Ben Chilwell.

By the 67th minute, West Ham had only 10 men left on the field because Nayef Aguerd had to receive a second yellow card after an illegal tackle on Nicolas Jackson.

The idea that playing more than people and Pochettino’s changes will soon come into effect, but the reality on the field is quite the opposite. Sanchez had to continuously save from the shots of Jarrod Bowen and Pablo Fornals in counter-attack situations.

The disappointment did not stop with Chelsea. Caicedo made a mistake in injury time when he illegally blocked the old Emerson Palmieri in the penalty area.

Lucas Paqueta gently fooled Sanchez to set the score 3-1 for the Olympic stadium team.

Playing more than people for most of the second half, but Pochettino’s teachers and students could not do anything to reverse the situation, on the contrary, they also conceded more goals. The Argentine coach will have a lot of work to do to revive a team of rookies of the Blues.
