Allister’s eyes widened in ‘stunned’ on his Anfield debut

In his first Liverpool game at Anfield, Alexis Mac Allister was completely shocked by the decision from the referee.

In the 58th minute, Luis Diaz tried to dribble on the left wing before stretching horizontally in.

Diogo Jota created the shot but the ball was blocked by the Bournemouth defender.

The ball bounced out of the box in the context of midfielder Ryan Christie running to relieve the siege.

At the same time, Alexis Mac Allister tried to press in to help Liverpool quickly regain the ball.

However, Liverpool’s No. 10 made a mistake when touching his foot with the bottom of his shoe, causing Christie to lie on the field in pain. The referee gave a red card to the tinian rookie.

Allister’s reaction then made viewers feel excited. Initially, the former Brighton midfielder was indifferent and remained calm after a foul on the opponent. He simply thought he made a mistake in the opponent’s home field, so the consequences were not great.

After bending down to ask the number 10 away team, Allister looked up at the referee’s card hand.

From his calm state, Allister clearly showed his surprise. He widened his eyes and looked at the referee with a bewildered face because he was disqualified.

The World Cup 2022 champion clasped his hands and begged the referee.

The explanations did not help Allister escape the red card. Liverpool fans have a reason to complain about the heavy-handed decision of the referee. Jurgen Klopp hinted that Liverpool will appeal for the Argentina star.
