Rival supporters enjoyed seeing Josko Gvardiol get “dunked on” in his maiden start for Manchester City.
The current Treble champions paid RB Leipzig £77 million to get the Croatian this summer.

After making his City debut off the bench last week against Burnley, manager Pep Guardiola started Gvardiol in the Uefa Super Cup on Wednesday against Sevilla.
Youssef En-Nesyri scored the game’s first goal just 25 minutes in, and Gvardiol couldn’t do a thing about it.
The tallest player on the field, En-Nesyri scored off a fantastic cross from Marcos Acuna.
The crowd also noticed that the 6 foot 2 inch forward had soared higher than City’s new acquisition.
An individual tweeted, “Gvardiol DUNKED on.”
While another commented sarcastically, “Josko Gvardiol looks MINT.”
A third user tweeted a very critical comment: “That Kim at Bayern far better and cheaper.”
With a laughy emoji, another user chimed in, “Most expensive defender in the world.”
I was incredibly delighted with his debut against Burnley,” Guardiola remarked of Gvardiol before the game.
We didn’t have much time to train together, which is unfortunate given the schedule we had.
“We’ll have eight days to prepare for the Newcastle game [on Saturday night]. Baby steps. Obviously he’s here, and he’s eager to play if we decide to.
City came back from a halftime deficit to tie the game.
On 63 minutes, the score was knotted thanks to Cole Palmer’s fantastic header.
And City kept their cool to win 5-4 on penalties and claim the season’s first hardware.
