Ayesha Curry’s Sҽcrҽt Carbohydrates That Boost Steph’s Amazing Performance

Ayesha Curry, a cookbook author and Food Network star, prepares simple meals for her family—husband Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors’ point guard, and their two daughters—on game days.

Ayesha explains to Bon Appetit’s healthyish that she always makes the same sauce from the recipes in her cookbook, The Seasoned Life, using San Marzano tomatoes and her own herbs and seasonings.

“We have pasta, and I make the same sauce every time,” she says. For Stephen, it doesn’t matter if the ground meat is ground chicken, ground turkey, ground beef, or merely vegetarian—it’s all about the carbs. Simply eating the pasta is the most difficult task.

Over the course of the rest of the week, she intends to make delicacies like lamb chops, scallops wrapped in bacon, and her spice-rubbed chicken.

The Curry family places a high priority on family meals. The star of the show continues, “It’s such a fading thing, people gathering around the table and having supper together in their house. Maintaining that is my aim.

Here’s the ‘disgusting’ meal Stephen first made for Ayesha when they were in college.

The NBA star does “one dish,” but Ayesha handles the most of the cooking (“[Steph’s] not focused enough when it comes to his knife skills,” she mocks).

Steph confesses, “I’m a one-trick pony. It’s pasta with five ingredients, Ayesha adds. He only made a mistake once, and he’s come a long way since then. He honestly believed that he was purchasing a bell pepper rather than a tomato. He pondered, “I don’t understand why bell peppers taste like tomatoes when they’re peppers.

Now that he’s been the official taste tester for Ayesha’s five to ten new recipes every day (and even cooked a couple of them himself), there’s much less room for debate when it comes to vegetables. He claims, “I can definitely shop in the produce section” at the supermarket.
