Manchester City captain Kevin De Bruyne spent £130,000 on solid platinum cased iPhones ahead of the Premier League’s start today.
The midfielder gave the phones to the club’s 26-man squad ahead of their match against Burnley at Turf Moor.

They are housed in solid platinum cases.

The phones have the player’s name and the club logo engraved on them.
iDesign Gold, the world’s leading custom mobile designers, created the £5,000 iPhones.
He had all of the iPhone 14s engraved with the player’s name and club logo.
De Bruyne, 32, also gave one to his manager, Pep Guardiola.
“It was a touch of class by Kevin, who wanted to show his appreciation for the team,” a source said.
“The club won the Premier League, the Champions League, and the FA Cup last season.”
“He wanted to inspire them to the same success with a little lift ahead of the Burnley clash.”
“I’ve been working with IDG for a few years and I really admire their limited edition phones, they’re like pieces of art,” the Belgian international said.
His gesture was inspired by Lionel Messi, who earlier this year gave the 35-man Argentina World Cup-winning squad and staff 24-carat gold iPhones worth £175,000 each.
