Moises Caicedo has just informed Liverpool that he only wants to join Chelsea after Klopp confirmed that he would join The Kop

Liverpool and Brighton had agreed on a £110 million deal, according to Klopp, but not on personal terms.

According to the most recent information from journalist Fabrizio Romano, Caicedo has resisted joining The Kop.

Caicedo will not be joining Liverpool anytime soon because Chelsea is expected to make another offer soon.

The player, who was born in 2001, told Liverpool that he only wanted to join Chelsea in the summer of 2023. The reason for this was that he had reached a personal agreement with the Blues at the end of May, which he respected.

Moisés Caicedo has recently begun to follow Chelsea on Instagram.

Chelsea will not accept losing Caicedo to Liverpool after pursuing him throughout the summer transfer window of 2023. The Blues will make a new offer to Brighton in the coming hours in order to persuade them to release him.

Chelsea’s latest offer for Caicedo is £ 100 million, which is less than Liverpool’s and costs the club more money. The fee the Blues are about to offer will almost certainly be higher than the £110 million offered by Liverpool to Brighton.

Earlier, Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp admitted that he was unsure whether Liverpool had reached an agreement with Caicedo.

“I’ve been told that the Moisés Caicedo deal has been agreed upon with the club.”

“We’ll have to wait and see with the player.” Today’s medical? I can’t tell you because I don’t know.”

“We give it a shot, and to be honest, the club has really stretched it.”

Liverpool approached Caicedo after allowing two midfielders, Henderson and Fabinho, to move to Saudi Arabia to play football this summer. According to Klopp, he does not want to lose the above-mentioned players but is powerless to keep them. “Basically, Liverpool’s resources are limited, but not endless.”

Caicedo is an Ecuadorian player who has been playing for Brighton since 2021. Not long ago, Chelsea tried to buy this 21-year-old player for 80 million pounds. This is a huge number, but still nothing compared to the price of 110 million pounds that Liverpool offered. According to Brighton’s board, they will sell Caicedo to the team that bids higher, regardless of the player’s wishes.
