Reece James’ sister just created a controversial ball at the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

Chelsea defender Reece James’ sister Lauren James became the focal point of the 2023 Women’s World Cup quarter-final between England and Nigeria.

After a moment of contention, number 7 fell on top of Michelle Alozie and then stepped on her opponent with her foot.

A clear image of the situation where Lauren stepped on Alozie, which left the African star helpless on the field.

Initially, the referee showed a yellow card to the English female player. After reviewing the VAR, the decision is changed.

The red card was shown and Lauren was sent off. Three Lions fans couldn’t believe their eyes and flocked to Twitter to express their disappointment.

 

Lauren sadly walked into the tunnel after receiving the verdict from the referee. Most notably, the 21-year-old seems to have recreated the classic image of Wayne Rooney at the World Cup.

Lucky for Lauren because England continued their journey at the 2023 World Cup after overcoming Nigeria in the gunfight. The white shirt collective won the penalty with a score of 4-2 after the two teams drew 0-0 in 120 minutes.
