Daʋid Beckhaм puts pressure on the Glazers to finally sell Man Utd, insisting ‘there мust Ƅe a decision soon and there needs to Ƅe change at Old Trafford

Manchester United legend David Beckham has called on the Glazer family to finally bring an end to the ongoing takeover saga this summer, while also suggesting the possibility of a future role within the club.

The former winger, who currently owns Inter Miami, made headlines with the addition of Lionel Messi to his team.

However, in an exclusive interview with The Athletic, Beckham has candidly discussed a previous club he was associated with and their existing ownership situation.

David Beckham has strongly encouraged the Glazer family to promptly sell Manchester United.

“As a fan and former player, I’m eager for a resolution off the field. The ownership situation needs a decisive outcome,” he expressed.

“Whoever is at the helm of your club, you desire them to display passion, engagement, and the ability to make well-informed decisions. It’s essential to bring in the right players and invest in the club. Investment is crucial, be it in the training facilities, stadium, or on-field improvements. These significant changes must be implemented, particularly when you observe the ambitious strides taken by clubs like Manchester City,” Beckham commented in an exclusive conversation with The Athletic.

Despite months of ongoing discussions, the Glazers have yet to relinquish ownership of the club.

Beckham remains steadfast in his belief that it’s time for the Glazers to depart.

Without hesitation, he responded, “I think so. I think it’s primarily because of the fans’ desire. Losing the support of the fans, especially at a club as iconic as Man Utd, can prove difficult to recover from.”

“Undoubtedly, the Glazers have achieved significant accomplishments, and the fact that we’re even discussing the potential selling price of Man Utd underscores their financial success,” Beckham acknowledged.

“Nonetheless, change is necessary. That’s a sentiment we’ve all recognized and acknowledged,” he emphasized.
