Fans couldn’t believe Josko Gvardiol’s response to a question in his first interview after completing his move to join Pep Guardiola’s side for Man City’s £77m deal

Manchester City fans can’t believe Josko Gvardiol’s response to a question in his first interview following the completion of his transfer to join Pep Guardiola’s side.

The 21-year-old defender has been one of the most sought after talents within world football and has now made the switch from RB Leipzig to the Premier League, in a deal worth £77 million to add to Pep Guardiola’s treble winning side.

Gvardiol, who has been capped 21 times for Croatia, has outlined his excitement after signing the five-year-deal at the Etihad Stadium, as we approach the beginning of the Premier League next week.

Speaking after the deal was confirmed, the player highlighted how much of an ‘honour’ it was to join City. He said: “I have always dreamed of one day playing in England and to be doing so now with Manchester City – after the season they have just had – is a real honour for me.

However, not all of his interview responses have been as regulation as the quotes listed above. Speaking in a more relaxed environment, the centre back was asked his favourite films or TV shows he watches in his spare time, to which he offered a bizarre response that fans can’t quite believe. He said: “I don’t have it. No I don’t watch it, I don’t watch it.”

Supporters have since responded to the video that has been released, with several of the reactions below:

@Mcandidate: Crying, we’ve signed the Croatian Michael Owen.

@FormallyRicky: They signed Kovacic for exactly this reason. He’s a very shy bloke.

@RedFazza: Why would they put this out?

@JPJoker01: Put him in a room with Jack Grealish.

@rejanotraja: Oh my God it’s like they created the most bland man in a lab. All he knows is tackles.

@Kidiabaponytail: City’s scouting going up levels. Won’t even need the customary one year in the sidelines whilst Guardiola extracts all the personality out of him.

@kxrwyn: Love when english clubs sign weird guys.
