Andre Onana made an ‘unacceptable’ mistake that caused Man Utd to concede a goal on his Old Trafford debut against Lens

Andre Onana, the goalkeeper for Manchester United, made his debut at Old Trafford during a preseason match against RC Lens, who play in Ligue 1. Onana was unsuccessful in stopping a shot from 45 yards away.

During substantial stretches of Manchester United’s preseason tour of the United States, the 27-year-old former Cameroon international showed why he was worth the rumored $47.2 million transfer fee from Inter Milan to the Premier League club. He played for Cameroon at the international level.

In contrast, the Lens attacker Florian Sotoca caught him off guard in the 23rd minute of Saturday’s game.

As you can see in the video that follows, United fullback Diogo Dalot made a mistake by giving up possession of the ball in his own half. Former Montpellier striker Sotoca made the most of the opportunity by scoring with a first-time effort.

One must give credit to Sotoca for putting the French team ahead with such a fantastic performance from a distance, but some people have questioned Onana’s positioning, and this is something that must be acknowledged.
