‘The reunion is very near’ – Jordi Alba officially leaves for Miami to reunite with Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets

Jordi Alba is officially on his way to the United States, much to the excitement of Inter Miami fans who are looking forward to seeing the Spanish left defender play alongside former Barcelona colleagues Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets in South Florida.

Alba, who is currently 34 years old, has agreed to a contract that will keep him with the Herons until the 2024 MLS season. The news of Alba’s signing was technically announced by the Herons exactly one week ago today.

This past Saturday, the champion of the Champions League for the 2014–15 season uploaded a photograph of himself on Instagram. In the photo, he can be seen embracing his huge dog while getting ready to board a private plane to leave Barcelona.

He scribbled, “Let’s go!” in a footnote that was attached to the article. (which literally translates to “Come on, let’s go!”).

The internet celebrity Romarey Ventura is also well-known in Spain. At the time, there were a great number of people who had the theory that this was the reason why the player’s move wasn’t made till now.

Alba’s arrival on a free transfer comes after his contract with Barcelona was terminated by mutual agreement in May.
