Man City gave PSG ‘green light’ in the Bernardo Silva ‘historical deal’ for €60M

Paris Saint-Germain has proposed a trade with Manchester City in which they would send the Premier League club two players in return for offensive midfielder Bernardo Silva.

PSG makes an offer to City Club in exchange for Silva this summer, but City Club has declined the offer.

WHAT CAME TO PASS?Foot Mercato claims that Paris Saint-Germain has made an attempt to negotiate a lesser price for Silva by proposing a trade through Luis Campos, their football advisor. The two players, Marco Verratti and Gianluigi Donnarumma, have been offered to City, but the offer has been categorically turned down by the champions of all three titles.

THE BIG PICTURE: Verratti was rumored to be a possible successor for Ilkay Gundogan, who left Manchester City this summer to sign with Barcelona. On the other hand, Donnarumma had the potential to fight with Ederson for the No. 1 shirt at the Etihad Stadium. On the other hand, Silva is rumored to be interested in moving to Paris, but City is keeping their fingers crossed that they can keep him.

AND WHAT’S MORE: The ball may very well be in the court of the Portugal international, since his contract is slated to expire the following summer. This will put the ball in his court. Given that he will be 28 years old at the conclusion of the season, it is possible that he may transfer to PSG. Given his age, City may try to pressure Silva into making a decision sooner rather than later.
