According to sources who talked with 90min, Manchester City is interested in getting Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munich and is willing to use Joao Cancelo as a makeweight in the deal. The agreement would involve Manchester City trading Joao Cancelo to Bayern Munich.

According to 90min, the midfielder was mulling over his future at the Allianz Arena as many big European teams were made aware of the possibility that he would be looking for a new challenge.

The fact that Kimmich plays in the middle has piqued the eye of Manchester City, which is trying to add one to their squad. Their primary target, Jude Bellingham, is reportedly close to agreeing to terms with Real Madrid, while Ilkay Gundogan, whose current deal with Bernardo Silva is up this summer, could end up leaving the club.

According to 90min, Manchester City has reportedly offered a proposal that might result in Cancelo being permanently transferred to Bayern Munich. The reasoning behind this plan is that the club believes Kimmich, who has previously worked for Pep Guardiola, can fit in nicely with their midfield.

It came as a surprise when the versatile fullback decided to leave the Etihad Stadium and sign with a club in the Bundesliga at the very end of the transfer window in January. However, when he was working under Julian Nagelsmann, he had a hard time making an impression at first.
