The £50 million star ‘agree’ with Liverpool, Arsenal seems to be out of chance

According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Liverpool are targeting Romeo Lavia as a replacement for Jordan Henderson.

Midfielder Romeo Lavia is a name quite noticeable in the transfer market recently. Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg recently had an update on the deal.

Lavia wants to move to Liverpool.

On Twitter, Plettenberg said: “Know that [Liverpool] is the favorite right now!  Lavia wants to join Liverpool  and has given the green light!”

Plettenberg says Southampton value their teenage superstar at around £50m. However, Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri thinks offers will start from the £35m mark. Liverpool are currently looking to bring in Lavia when Jordan Henderson is about to leave the team.

“The Belgian midfielder has just agreed on personal terms [with Liverpool],” Tavolieri wrote on Twitter. “Romeo Lavia is waiting for a green light from [Liverpool] management and is a bit upset that the deal is dragging. He wants to move now.”

Football Insider revealed last week that Arsenal are also interested in signing Lavia. However, this deal depends a lot on the future of midfielder Thomas Partey. Currently Lavia is valued by Transfermarkt at 32 million euros.
