Leroy Sané Nets Chic Hollywood Hills Outpost

German professional footballer Leroy Sané has scored an elegant goal by purchasing a Los Angeles residence for $8 million. The resort-like home in the Hollywood Hills, which was last sold for just under $3.6 million in 2020 and renovated from top to bottom, features three bedrooms and four bathrooms in just over 2,800 square feet of living space.

The one-story stucco structure, perched atop the Sunset Strip on a nearly half-acre palm-studded gated lot, features a motorcourt and two-car garage. An impressive entryway features a large front door that opens to cream-colored, minimalistic interiors accented with clay ceilings and walls, wide-plank white oak floors, designer lighting, and travertine finishes.

Among the highlights is a living room with a fireplace and floor-to-ceiling Styline glass panels that completely slide open to provide the SoCal indoor-outdoor lifestyle. In addition, there is a compact kitchen with custom cabinetry, an island with seating, Miele appliances, and a breakfast alcove.

A master suite with a sitting area and capacious closet, as well as a spa-inspired bathroom with dual vanities, an oval soaking tub, and a spacious walk-in shower, can be found elsewhere. The inviting rear features a pool and spa in addition to a barbecue center, fire pit, and lounging areas. A high-tech Crestron home automation system enhances the overall appeal.

Sané has been playing professional soccer — or football, depending on where you live — since he was 18 years old, first with Schalke 04 and then Manchester City, where he became the first German to receive “PFA Young Player of the Year” in 2017-18. Currently, he is a winger for Bayern Munich and the German national team; he is also the son of former professional footballer Souleymane Sané and 1984 Summer Olympics bronze medalist German rhythmic gymnast Regina Weber.
