Unexpected, PSG accepted to sell Mbappe to Al Hilal

According to TMW, PSG have accepted an offer of 200 million euros from Al Hilal for Kylian Mbappe.

It was reported that PSG had put Mbappe on the transfer list when the 24-year-old French striker had only 12 months left on his contract and refused to renew it.

Mbappe wants to move to Real Madrid , but it is unclear if the Royal Spanish club still has enough money to recruit the best striker in PSG history, after spending £113 million to buy Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. While Al Hilal did not lack the money to make the blockbuster deal.

TMW page said that the Saudi club had sent an offer of 200 million euros to PSG to buy Mbappe and was accepted.

According to TMW, Al Hilal offered Mbappe a long-term contract with a salary of 400 million euros per year, double the amount Cristiano Ronaldo is receiving at Al Nassr.

Although PSG agreed to offer Al Hilal, it is unlikely that Mbappe will accept to play in Saudi Arabia after refusing to extend his contract with the Paris club to fulfill his dream of joining Real Madrid.

Only finishing third in the Saudi Pro League last season, Al Hilal has just spent £ 47 million to sign Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves and £ 17 million for centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly from Chelsea to strengthen the squad.

The PSG board told Mbappe that he has until July 31 to activate the one-year extension clause in his current contract or will be sold.

Mbappe has been with PSG for six seasons, helping the club win 12 major titles. He is the top scorer of Ligue 1 in the last 5 seasons and is considered the symbol of this tournament.

Last season, Mbappe scored 29 goals in Ligue 1; 7 goals in the Champions League; 5 goals in the French Cup. With 41 goals in 43 games, Mbappe brings the total number of goals for PSG to 212 goals in 260 games and becomes the highest scorer in the club’s history. However, the French captain was not satisfied with PSG’s performance in the Champions League. PSG has never been crowned in Europe’s top tournament despite being invested a lot of money, including buying Neymar and Messi.

According to L’Equipe (France), PSG forced Mbappe to extend his contract or leave this summer. If he deliberately stays behind, the former AS Monaco striker will not be able to play.

According to Relevo (Spain), the new coach Luis Enrique is not satisfied with the PSG leadership interfering too deeply in professional factors and treating him as a puppet.

The Spanish coach was angry after Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, made the decision to exclude Mbappe from the tour list, bringing the French captain into the group of players who were not in his plans.

Luis Enrique hopes PSG will soon settle the problems with Mbappe. In the event that Mbappe stays at PSG after this summer, Luis Enrique will likely defy Al-Khelaifi’s orders to bring the 24-year-old striker onto the pitch.

From the moment he signed for PSG, Luis Enrique made it clear that he was the sole decision maker on professional matters.

This is the second time Luis Enrique has had a conflict with the PSG leadership since replacing Christophe Galtier in the hot seat at the Park of the Princes. Before that, Luis Enrique had a dispute with Luis Campos – PSG sporting director.

Initially, Luis Campos wanted to keep some members of the coaching staff under Christophe Galtier, but Luis Enrique disagreed. Luis Campos then had to give in, letting the former Spain coach put his team on the coaching staff.

This incident seems to be more serious than Al-Khelaifi, who directly made a tough decision with Mbappe. If he opposes Al-Khelaifi, Luis Enrique can be fired mercilessly because the PSG president is famous for being harsh with the coaches and has no shortage of contract compensation.
