Coach Erik ten Hag was correct when deciding to give the captain’s armband to midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

Man Utd continues to collect impressive results in the summer tour of 2023.

Against Arsenal, Man Utd played properly and won 2-0 thanks to the help of Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho.

There, the Portuguese midfielder immediately made his mark in the first game officially wearing the captain’s armband.

30 minutes, Fernandes shines at the right time. Portuguese player left footed shot from outside the box. The ball hit the ground to beat Aaron Ramsdale even though the Arsenal goalkeeper had his hand on the ball.

As usual, Fernandes showed confidence with his ability to make extremely decisive moves, when Man Ud needed him the most.

 

It is no coincidence that coach Erik ten Hag decided to strip Harry Maguire of the captain’s armband and give it to Fernandes.

Fernandes himself revealed, even Maguire congratulated him on becoming the new captain of Man Utd.

Obviously, Maguire’s influence on the whole team cannot be equal to Fernandes at this time.

Fernandes has always been Man Utd’s most stable player for many seasons despite the poor performance. With what has been shown, Fernandes promises to lead Man Utd to success in the near future.
