Striker Sadio Mane will enjoy a high salary, even double at Bayern Munich if Al-Nassr (Saudi Arabia) accepts the offer of the Senegal star.
At the request of Al-Nassr, Mane will sign a 3-year contract with the Saudi Arabian team. Not long ago, L’Equipe reported that the Bayern Munich star was in talks to join Al-Nassr, just a year after leaving Liverpool.
The leading French newspaper reported that Mane reached a preliminary agreement with Al-Nassr. The remaining problem is said to come from the salary and bonuses that Mane will enjoy at the Asian club.
In negotiations, the 31-year-old striker’s representative wants to receive a salary of 50 million euros/year. However, according to CBS Sports (USA), Al-Nassr only accepted to pay Mane the figure of 40 million euros after tax, including bonuses.
Thus, if this deal is successful, Mane will receive twice as much salary at Al-Nassr as at Bayern Munich. Currently, the former Liverpool player pocketes 20 million euros a year in the German team.
Before that, Mane joined Bayern last summer from Liverpool for £ 35 million. Sadio Mane signed a 3-year contract, until 2025. But the striker did not leave much impression, when he scored only 7 goals in 25 appearances in the Bundesliga.
Mane regularly struggles with injuries and was suspended by Bayern in April for punching teammate Leroy Sane after a 3-0 loss to Man City in the Champions League. Coach Thomas Tuchel also publicly criticized Mane earlier this month, saying, “Mane fell short of expectations”.
If he agrees to go to Al-Nassr, Mane will become teammates with Ronaldo, the Saudi Pro League runner-up last season. CR7 joined the Middle East team from Man United in December last year. Al-Nassr is constantly recruiting big names this summer. They have signed Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan, Seko Fofana from Lens and Alex Telles from MU.
According to the assessment, Al-Nassr will most likely agree with the number given by Mane. BLD Al-Nassr is worried when the home team lost 2 friendly matches in a row with a strong score against Celta Vigo and Benfica. They need Mane and more stars to be able to compete in the Saudi Arabian league next season.
