Liverpool rush to recruit £70 million ‘beast’ to replace Fabinho

According to The Mail, Liverpool have increased their interest in signing defensive midfielder Cheick Doucoure .

Liverpool’s midfield needs a big makeover this summer. Not long after successfully recruiting Alexis Mac Allister, The Kop continued to welcome Dominik Szoboszlai. However, coach Jurgen Klopp still wants to have one more defensive midfielder to add to the squad.

Cheick Doucoure is interested in Liverpool.

Many stars across Europe are associated with the Anfield team, including Cheick Doucoure . Football Insider reckons The Kop will have to pay a fee of more than £35m, however, the Daily Mail believe Crystal Palace want £70m for their prized possession.

According to The Mail, Liverpool have increased their interest in signing the Malian . They still have not had an official approach, but the Selhurst Park home team is always ready to receive an offer from The Kop.

Doucoure impressed during his Premier League debut campaign last season and was voted Player of the Season by Palace fans. This 23-year-old midfielder is appreciated for breaking the game and making interceptions. What’s more, he’s also comfortable pulling the ball and isn’t afraid to shoot when he gets the chance.

If Liverpool lose Fabinho , it won’t be surprising if they spend money for Doucoure.
