Midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been selected as the new official captain of Man Utd, after Harry Maguire was stopped by coach Erik ten Hag a few days ago.

Fernandes, 28, was the unofficial captain of Man Utd last season when he started. At that time, Maguire had to sit on the bench , so the Portuguese midfielder was given the captain’s armband of the Red Devils.

To date, Fernandes has made 185 appearances for Man Utd, owning 64 goals and 54 assists. He is considered as one of the rare successful signings of the Red Devils in recent years with great contributions. Currently, Fernandes still has a contract with Man Utd until 2026.
