Ansu Fati’s future at Barcelona has been discussed, and club president Joan Laporta believes that the player will have more opportunities to demonstrate his worth in the upcoming campaign.
There was a lot of speculation that Fati would leave this summer, but those whispers have since died down because the young player appears to have made it very plain that he will not be transferring.
Laporta discussed Fati with Mundo Deportivo, and he stated that Xavi intends to give the youngster more opportunities during the upcoming season and is planning on increasing the amount of rotation.
“He is determined to be successful at Barcelona. His talent as a scorer is one of his many strengths. Xavi has told me that Lewandowski and Ansu are the ones who score the most goals while they are practicing together. He is recovering from an injuru; he has a relapse. That which De la Fuente asserted to be true is, in fact, accurate, and he reaffirmed to me at the Federation Assembly that he is stronger than ever before and like a bull.
“Xavi is committed to providing Ansu with opportunities because he knows Ansu wants to be successful at Barcelona. There are players who are ahead of us, but we need to make rotation the norm rather than rotating only when it is absolutely necessary, as has been the case so far this season.
“It is one of the issues that needs to be resolved: develop a rotation to reduce the number of injuries. Raphinha, Dembélé, Ansu, Lewandowski, Abde, and Ferran are all members of our squad. It’s really quite lovely.
Ansu onlu started a total of 12 games in La Liga during the previous season, but his father has persuaded him to move on and look for a new challenge. Despite this, the 20-year-old has expressed his desire to continue playing and ended the previous season on a high note by contributing to Spain’s victory in the Nations League.
