Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona, has admitted that he wants to recruit Bernardo Silva, a midfielder for Manchester City. This admission has “added fuel to the fire,” as the saying goes.
Over the course of the past year, there have been numerous rumors that Portugal star Bernado Silva will be joining Barcelona. On the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain is also a possibility. According to Sport, in contrast to Barcelona, PSG has reportedly made official attempts to make a play by offering 70 million euros plus one of Presnel Kimpembe, Marco Verratti, or Gianluigi Donnarumma as part of the deal. Man City did not take advantage of the offer.
When fans asked Barca president Joan Laporta in his automobile on July 18 about signing Silva, he responded to their question by saying, “I want to do so now.”
The President has validated that: Barca was able to acquire a “superior left hand” from Europe.
Despite the contacts and remarks of Laporta, it seems doubtful that Silva will be moving to Barcelona given the club’s current financial situation, which includes limited wage options. In order to create space for them to make any kind of transaction, there will need to be some personnel cuts and transfers. Even when spoken by Laporta, it sounded more like a desire than a goal.
Bernardo Silva is now building a name for himself as one of the top left-handers in Europe thanks to his exceptional technique, acceleration, agility, passing, ball control, vision, creativity, and dribbling. Silva is able to maintain his balance well thanks to his skills, as well as his energy and defensive speed. This enables him to corner opponents and immediately begin attacking after regaining possession of the ball. It is obvious that if Barca is able to effectively get the Portuguese player, it will be a very high-quality addition to their goals for the upcoming season.
