Klopp construct again Liverpool squad: farewell five ‘useless’ players and greet two ‘needed’ players

5 Liverpool players have been confirmed to be gone forever when coach Jurgen Klopp conducted a campaign to overhaul the Anfield team.

That is the headline shared in the Mirror (UK) today 10-5. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to reshuffle his squad in the summer, and a host of players have been pushed towards the Anfield exit.

After a tumultuous season, Jurgen Klopp is set to embark on a major overhaul for the Liverpool squad during the summer transfer window. Less than 12 months after Liverpool almost won the great treble, Klopp’s men are fighting for the right to qualify for next season’s Champions League. But regardless of whether they break into the Premier League Top 4 or not, big changes must take place at Anfield in the summer.

Jurgen Klopp is sure to have a major overhaul of Liverpool’s midfield and a host of famous names have been linked with a move to Anfield, including Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister and Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch.

However, not only the acquisition of stars, Klopp and the Anfield leadership also plan to purge the Liverpool squad in the coming months. The German strategist is eager to rebuild his aging midfield and it is not surprising that the majority of names leaving Liverpool have been in midfield.

Arthur Melo has not made any impact since signing for Liverpool on loan on the last day of the transfer window last summer. Melo confirmed earlier this week that he will be “saying goodbye” to Liverpool fans before returning to Juventus in the summer.

Midfield duo Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are also set to leave Liverpool when their contracts expire at the end of this season. Both are injured and have previously been involved in many rumors that they will leave right in the January transfer window.

James Milner will also follow in the footsteps of that trio leaving Anfield and he is likely to head to Brighton at the end of the season. The 37-year-old English midfielder is in the final year of his contract with Liverpool. German strategist Klopp made it clear earlier this week that Milner is looking forward to finding a new challenge in his career at another club.

And last but not least, Liverpool fan-favorite star Roberto Firmino has confirmed that he is leaving the club on a free transfer after his contract expires in June.

Roberto Firmino has scored more than 100 goals for Liverpool since joining the club from Hoffenheim eight years ago. The Brazilian striker is rumored to join the La Liga to play for Barcelona.

Besides the five stars that are certain to leave Liverpool as above, a host of other players, including defenders Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams, could also leave this summer to raise funds for the manager’s ambitious rebuilding plan. Jürgen Klopp.

Last summer Liverpool signing Fabio Carvalho could also consider his future after he made just one Premier League appearance since the start of the year.

Currently, Liverpool is ranked fifth in the Premier League table, 1 point behind the 4th ranked team Manchester United but played 1 more game, while the season has only 3 rounds left.
